Nick Miles Building Contractors Ltd combines a hugely experienced team of craftsmen withnickv_lge excellent project-management skills and a building consultancy facility to deliver the highest quality building service. Our attention to detail and commitment to customer care are of paramount importance to us. At the heart of our company is a belief in the current principles of conserving and repairing historic buildings and as part of this we are dedicated to training our staff to a high standard in both traditional and modern techniques. Our team comprises stonemasons, carpenters, joiners, roofers, plumbers, electricians, decorators, plasterers, lead workers and lime specialists.

Nick Miles, director, began his career in building by completing an OND in Building Surveying at Cheltenham and then the HND in Building Surveying at Bristol Polytechnic. He then joined the family building firm as an estimator and surveyor, and remained in this role for ten years. In 1995 he set up Nick Miles Building Contractors and the company has earned a reputation for001_lge high-quality work, particularly on historic buildings. In 2008 Nick completed a BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying at the University of the West of England followed by a Masters (MSc) in the Conservation of Historic Buildings at the University of Bath in 2011. He is a member of The Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings and Stroud Building Design Association, and sits on the committee of Stroud Civic Society. Nick is also a member of the Building Limes Forum (http://www.buildinglimesforum.org.uk) and a member of the National Churches Trust.

Nick’s strong interest in the theory of building conservation is regularly put into practice, and he is adept at drawing on his knowledge and experience to offer dependable advice to clients.
